"I cannot express how influential and impactful Shelbie has been in my life and my daughter's life. Everything in life (movies, social media) makes you think that breastfeeding will be easy. This is definitely not the case, especially for me. I had some idea that it could be difficult because I attended Shelbie's educational breastfeeding courses when I was pregnant (highly recommended taking these), but nothing prepares you for the real thing. Shelbie helped me with measuring for the correct Falange size for pumping, walked me through how to use my breast pump and helped me with a nipple shield since my daughter had a difficult time latching initially. Shelbie educated me not only on breastfeeding, but also on what to do when I experienced nipple trauma, how to adjust with different stages of my daughters development and behaviors related to breastfeeding, and she helped me mentally through my entire breastfeeding journey. Shelbie is an extremely knowledgeable, supportive, honest and encouraging professional who always treats you with respect and kindness. She has helped me during late nights/early mornings and when I was the most stressed about if I was doing the right thing or if something was happening with my daughter that I found concerning.
